Prime Minister Vishwakarma Yojana: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been introducing many schemes to the people to take our Indian country on the path of development, is now going to introduce a new scheme to the people. Last August 15, on the occasion of Independence Day, the Prime Minister of our country introduced a new scheme while hoisting the flag at the Red Fort and addressing the people.

The name of this scheme is PM Vishwakarma Yojana. The primary objective of the scheme is to improve the livelihood of people engaged in traditional industries and clan industries in rural and urban areas. PM Vishwakarma Yojana

Generally, many people in our country practice their clan and traditional professions but they are very poor without adequate knowledge and financial support to further develop those professions. Through this Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana scheme, skill development training will be imparted to traditional and tribal artisans. Also, an incentive of Rs.500 per day will be given to the persons participating in the training. Apart from that, during this training, we will be taught the intricacies of how to market our business. Also, for business development, a loan will be given in the bank at 5 percent interest.

As the Vishwakarma scheme is going to be launched soon, the central government has allocated Rs 13,000 crore for the scheme. Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi has said that through this, the workers who are doing tribal and traditional industries in the country will benefit.

When to Apply for the PM Vishwakarma Scheme

The central government is expected to launch a website for online applications for the scheme soon. Vishwakarma Jayanti for the year 2023 will be celebrated on September 17 across the country. Therefore, the central government has informed us that all the information about this scheme like basic qualifications, application procedure, and training details will be provided before the Vishwakarma Jayanti festival.

Financial Assistance from PM Vishwakarma Scheme

First stage: 15,000 in financial assistance will be provided for initial career development after completing the training conducted by the PM Vishwakarma Yojana.  With this amount, they can start their business in the initial phase.

Second stage: In the second phase, those who want to further develop their business can get a loan of Rs 1 lakh from the bank at an interest rate of five percent through this scheme, the central government said.

Third stage: According to the central government, the people who have correctly paid the loan of Rs.1 lakh in the second phase can get Rs.2 lakh in the third phase from the bank at the same interest rate through this scheme.

The Central Government has come up with this Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana to improve the livelihood of the OBC community across the country. Therefore, the central government provides vocational training and loan assistance through the Vishwakarma scheme to protect them from leaving the profession.
