The central government provides a stipend of Rs.5000 through the PMMVY scheme to the most economically disadvantaged and grassroots women in India during pregnancy. PMMVY Scheme
The central government is implementing a Scheme called PMMVY for pregnant women across the country. Through this, lakhs of potential mothers in India are benefiting. A total of Rs 5000 PMMVY scheme is available to eligible mothers in three installments. The full extension of PMMVY scheme is Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana. Eligible pregnant women can apply for this scheme online in a very simple way from the comfort of their homes and women who may be below the poverty line, family women who have low annual income, and general women can all apply for this scheme.
This scheme of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India is benefiting various women. The main objective of our Prime Minister of India is that women should not incur any economic cost during pregnancy, so the central government has provided this scheme to poor and middle-class pregnant women.
Installment method of PMMVY Scheme
A total of Rs 5000 will be given to the pregnant women who benefit from this scheme in three installments. We have listed the details of those three installments below.
1000 as the First Installment
1000 will be paid directly into the bank account of the pregnant woman within 150 days after the pregnancy is confirmed.
2000 as the Second Installment
A second installment of Rs 2000 will be paid directly to the bank account of the pregnant woman after a medical check-up
2000 as the Third Installment
2000 will be paid directly into the bank account as the third installment after the birth and registration of the child.
